Traditional - digital experience at the Center for the Promotion of Wine, Culture and Tourism

A stop above the vineyards, in the more than 500-year-old Banovina building, which today has been converted into a modern Center for the promotion of wines, culture and tourism, promises a blend of tradition and the latest technologies.

Don't expect rich tablecloths, crystal glasses and archival wines. Expect home-made cold cuts, a simple wine glass, from which the locals also drink daily, and the best wines of recent vintages from the surrounding vineyards. Get ready for a full experience of a real, everyday day in Virštanj, with local winemakers who will make the one-gastronomic experience worth five stars. With the help of state-of-the-art multimedia, you will see the vineyards turning green, the vines giving birth, picking grapes, smelling the must and learning about the four seasons of the vineyard through virtual reality.

They have opened the door to the culinary world for you, and above the premises where the grapes are refined into top-quality wine, they have prepared a corner where, in addition to tasting top-quality wines, they also offer gastronomic pleasures.

The selected experience offers a presentation of the renovated and extended wine cellar in 2020, a tasting of 4 excellent bottled wines and sparkling wines conjured up by a top sommelier, and cheese tris with oil from wine ovens from local producers. The atmosphere between the barrels of the largest cellar in Kozjan is perfect for a quick escape from everyday routine.

Degustation of delicacies at the tourist farm Mramor

You will also visit the Mramor Tourist Farm, where you will be able to try authentic Kozjan delicacies - a homemade barbecue with local delicacies and 3 samples of excellent wines. Mr. Marko Mramor will also provide you with an interesting legend. The vineyards of the Mramor family and their Gruska winery, located in the heart of the Kozjanski Park protected area, are surrounded by wonderful nature. The wine cellar, where they will provide a warm welcome and, of course, excellent food and drink, was named after the Gruska jama, which is located only 200 meters from the wine cellar.
