At the Jelenov greben homestead, exciting adventures abound, but feeding the animals is probably the special thing you cannot experience anywhere else and will therefore stay etched in your memory forever. They can also offer you a special culinary experience with homemade lunch.

FEEDING THE DEER AND AUTHENTIC HOMEMADE LUNCH

A unique feature of the foothills of Olimska gora, the location of the Jelenov greben (‘deer ridge’) homestead, is a heard of some 100 deer and moufflons,  who roam around freely. You may feed them corn and see them from up close. It is certainly not possible to  be in such genuine contact with the animals ever day, therefore everyone, especially children, will cherish the lasting memory of the experience. At the homestead, you will be welcomed by its kind hosts , who will share with you a few interesting bits from the farm’s history. The visit concludes with a tasting of homemade produce at the shop with a possibility to buy some to take home with you, and they will also treat you to an authentic homemade lunch.

There are bins for proper separation of waste both at the destination and at each provider. We encourage the economical use of water, be it when washing hands, showering, etc.

REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

We encourage green travel - you can get to the center of the destination by train or bus. After the destination, you can also reach popular sightseeing spots by bicycle.

BUY LOCAL

Buying local produce creates a positive effect both economically and environmentally. Because the shorter the distance the products travel, the smaller the carbon footprint. It also benefits local communities, especially in rural areas.

From each experience sold, we allocate 1 euro to encourage and cofinance providers of our tourist destination to be included in sustainable certification systems.
